How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a Pure Health Mentor?

I have always wanted to be a mom. It was one of my life passions, so you can imagine how devastated I was when I in my early 20’s I found out that I wouldn’t be able to conceive. My whole world just came down on me.

I truly was devastated, but I moved ahead and began to approach my life knowing that I would not have children. I tried to move forward and focus on other life events. I had much success in many things, but I was unhappy and my health was chaotic. I was constantly fighting off some digestive problem, mood swings and severe PMS that literally put my marriage in jeopardy. I then developed terrible migraines and began a series of scans to try to find the source.

So, here I am..... I feel horrible, my marriage is suffering, and I still have a deep longing to be a mother. It was frustrating to see my sister and all of my friends pregnant and starting families. I was depressed and I knew I could no longer live the way I had been living.

I had hit my all time low and there had to be a change. I decided to trust myself, slow down, and listen to what my body was telling me. I decided to follow my own inner wisdom; the same inner wisdom that guided me to the many beautiful things in my life that were working and that I had success with.

My first decision was to refuse to subject my body to any kind of fertility intervention. If I was going to have a child then it would have to be natural. I looked at my diet and knew I had to start there. After a few months on an organic and whole foods nutrition as well as practicing healthy living, guess what happened? You got it. Yes, I was pregnant!


I can’t even explain how happy I was, but I was concerned about the headaches and some of the remaining issues. How was I going to take care of a child feeling lousy all the time? This anxiety took me off track and I gained a lot of weight. In fact, I gained so much weight and was on the verge of developing gestational diabetes. There was a great deal of unknown anxiety about becoming a new mom and being responsible for another human being.

But, babies don't wait and I soon gave birth to my precious daughter. When she was born I looked into her eyes and knew that it was time to reclaim my health once and for all. Not just for me, but now for my whole family. Since that moment I have dedicated my life to learning all I can about nutrition and an healthy lifestyle. And the results have been life changing!

In six months I went from struggling to healthy, happy, and thriving! My body goes through its natural cycles in a harmonious way and my digestive system works beautifully. PMS, mood swings, and headaches are all gone and I have a wonderful relationship with my husband. I simply could not keep my story a secret. I didn't want other women to have to struggle to find the answers. I wanted to share my path with everyone.
I have the best job in the world and I have my life back!

As a result, I committed my life to creating the "Pure Health System". This is a simple and easy to follow step-by-step whole foods nutrition and healthy lifestyle system. Since starting this program I have worked with many women, inspiring them to create health for themselves and their families. In the "Pure Health System" they find a fast and easy way to get great results and optimum health!


What is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor?

As a holistic health counselor, I provide specific nutrition and lifestyle recommendations to help you achieve your health goals—helping you feel great naturally. You will be empowered to eat nutritious whole foods because you will know exactly what works best to help you achieve your goals.

The “holistic” part means that I look at you as a whole person. While I do provide specific nutritional information on various foods, my programs are not just about food. We will discuss how various aspects of your life affect your food choices and your overall wellness. I will also inspire you to make time for yourself and put your needs on your to-do list.


I am also Board Certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners which means that I do not work with pharmaceuticals. All my recommendations are natural.


How are you different from a licensed nutritionist or dietitian?

Nutritionists and dietitians see foods as calories, proteins, carbohydrates, and portion control. A licensed nutritionist or dietitian is trained to assess the nutritional needs of individuals; establish priorities, goals, and objectives that meet nutritional needs; and provide nutrition counseling in health and disease. The nutritional information I provide does not replace the advice of your physician or registered dietician.

As a holistic health counselor this is only one way I look at food. I also work with the energetic of foods which is the product of food combination and how that affects your mood, your energy, and ultimately your whole health. I call that secondary food, foods that we eat.

I also work with what I call primary foods which is how your body physically reacts to everything that happens in your life such as relationships, spirituality, career, and physical activities. Primary foods are foods that feed our soul.

What distinguishes my services is that I specialize and ONLY work with women looking to restore or enhance their health.
Because of this, my clients receive proven, extremely specific step–by–step guidance on exactly what they need to do to achieve optimum and long-term health. As a result, those who coach with me get superior, faster results than they would on their own.

Who are your clients exactly?

Women just like you who want to be healthy themselves and provide a healthy environment for their families. Women who are looking for optimum and long-term health and are open to do whatever is necessary to achieve their goals.

My clients are looking for support beyond books, magazines, and friends. Usually they've had trouble implementing healthy changes on their own. They want a completely different approach—without deprivation or hunger, or ever counting fat grams or calories again!

    I already eat healthy, can I still benefit from this program?

    Absolutely, just take a few minutes and think of an area of your health and wellness where you could use some improvement and support. Most of us have a few issues that still leave us feeling stuck… like sugar cravings, low energy, weight fluctuation, stress, etc.

    What type of personality do you work best with?

    My Pure Health Coaching Program was created for women who are absolutely excited and really serious about making changes in their health. They are committed to ending the frustration of not being able to really enjoy life. It was created for you to make dramatic changes in your health and lifestyle within ONE year, which will eventually lead you to feel the happiest you’ve ever felt in your body!

    Being a passionate, high-achiever myself, I work best with other “go-getters” who are ready to get going and want to know exactly what steps to take to get results. Consider what you’ll do with me to be an action learning course. You will be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore—those days are over.     For what type of person is this program NOT going to work?

    Please know that I’m selective in who I work with, and will gently turn away people who aren’t suited for my program and won’t get the results that they expect—it wouldn’t be fair to them.

    The Pure Health System won’t work for someone who makes excuses or who won’t commit to following the simple system. My system doesn’t include calorie counting or counting grams of protein, fat, and carbohydrates. It is very simple. You’re given specific recommendations and if you follow the system, you can’t help but get great results.

    This program is also not appropriate for people who need their nutritional needs assessed for a certain health condition or disease, or for people with serious medical conditions. Finally, I choose not to work with people who aren’t willing or perhaps aren’t ready to invest in themselves with time, effort, and finances.


    What exactly is the Pure Health System™ and what does it include?

    The Pure Health System™ is the system I personally developed and use with my clients to help them achieve optimal health through nutrition and lifestyle guidance. I have YOU in mind with this system. It will help you create a healthy life for yourself and your family. The Pure Health System™ is effective, but it's not about a quick fix. You will be able to see results in just a few short weeks as you achieve each of these steps you'll experience increased energy, feel better in your body, enjoy life more, and get a great sense of accomplishment.     1. Pure Health & Wellbeing

    Achieve balance and harmony in every aspect of life.

    A truly healthy, balanced life requires a holistic approach to Health and Wellbeing. With The Pure Health System™ you’ll learn to honor your body with “primary foods”—foods that feed your soul—such as relationships, spirituality, career, and physical activities. We’ll examine your Circle of Life to detect any imbalance in these “primary foods” and determine what areas of your life need additional focus.

    You’ll also learn to honor your body with “secondary food,” food that we actually eat. Pure Health & Wellbeing teaches you how to listen to what your body is telling you and how to eat for your individual body type.

    Using The Pure Health System™ you’ll be able to reach your personal health goals. We’ll work through obstacles that are keeping you stuck in the same place. Then we move forward one step a time, rather than trying to do everything at once. This will make it easier for you to be successful and achieve long-term optimal health.


    2. Pure Foods That Promote Health

    Enjoy food instead of being afraid of it.

    Part of the philosophy behind Pure Foods is that food is sacred. We’ll examine the energetic of foods which is the product of food combination and how that affects your mood, your energy, and ultimately your whole health. This means choosing good, whole food quality nutrition—a proper balance of greens, grains, proteins, fruits, sweet vegetables, healthy fats, condiments/spices and water.  Pure Food is food that gives life, versus eating dead foods that only sustain life, but do nothing to promote health. 

    How you eat is just as important as what you eat.  We’re going to take a look at how you are eating—like the importance of something as simple as chewing—and what you can do to make sure your digestive system is fully functioning when you eat.  This will result in overall improved digestion as you learn to incorporate your unique portion control. 

    The Pure Health System™ includes lot of practical, everyday tips like healthy snacks, eating on the go, breakfast ideas etc. We’ll eliminate the confusion when you’re eating out or shopping in the supermarket. You’ll also learn how to shop for and prepare healthy food at home.

     

    3. Pure 4 Supplements

    The easy way to a strong, healthy body.

    You’ll discover which Pure 4 Nutritional Supplements you need in your daily life.  It has become necessary to supplement since we can’t get all of the nutrients from our food, like our ancestors once did. Supplements also play a role in boosting your immunes system, restoring your digestive system, resetting your metabolism and ensuring healthy bones.     A Pure Mindset is the best way to ensure health, happiness and success.  We can either choose to live on purpose, directing our lives, or we can just let life dictate what happens to us. The choices we make either make us happy, or cause us sadness. 

    When you change the way you think, you change the way you live.  It’s that simple.  We’ll review some guiding principles on Pure Mindset. Learn the value of putting yourself first and being in charge of your own life. When you realize only you can stop yourself—you’ll rid yourself of all your previous excuses. You’ll see how you can literally change your life by changing your thoughts and your words.  Matching your mindset with your goals is VERY powerful.

    Pure Love and Relationships acknowledges that you cannot be truly healthy if you’re suffering in your relationships. People can drain you of your energy—it’s important to notice who drains you and why. See if you can transform those relationships by communicating and setting boundaries. Discover the meaning of real love and a healthy sex life. Deepen your relationship by sharing what you already have.

    Connect with your spiritual side.

    Pure Spirituality Connection promotes connecting with your spirituality as an essential part of a great and healthy life.  It provides, protection, provision, peace and inner guidance that helps you in every area of your life.  When you know what feeds your soul, you will bring balance into your life.

    We are spiritual beings in a physical world so you need to find ways to get in touch with your spiritual side. You can be spiritual wherever you are—this might be meditating, dancing, drawing, attending church, a temple or just being in nature. Look at spirituality as a way to expand your love and discover your inner beliefs. We are all one.

    Enjoy preparing meals again.

    The Pure Health System™ includes quick, easy, and delicious recipes.  These recipes will make it easy for you to prepare healthy food at home and save time. If you don’t like following recipes, no worries!  We’ll teach you how to cook foods a variety of ways without a single recipe. Either way ensures that you are completely comfortable cooking with new ingredients or using new techniques.

    Yes! Absolutely yes! My clients make lasting changes in their nutrition and their lifestyle.     No.
    By working with me you’ll learn which foods are going to maximize energy and vitality so it won’t be like work at all. Our sessions are done in a very relaxed and interactive atmosphere that you’ll enjoy. And just think of the peace of mind that you will have because you will know exactly what you need to do to be healthy.

    I have a busy life. Although I want to reach my health goals, I don't have much time to spare.


    If you can spare 50-minutes every two weeks, you will be able to take some specific steps towards achieving your pure health goals. We can go as fast or as slow as you need to with my system. Everybody starts at a different pace, but the goal is to end up with fast, real, lasting and permanent results! Remember the first step of the Pure Health System? You must decide to make your health a priority. If you never start, you’ll never get there. Decide today that you WILL make your health and the health of your family a priority.
    The rest will fall into place.

    Is it too expensive?

    No.
    You’re going to save money using this system. That’s because you’ll learn how to purchase whole foods to prepare for you and your family. You will be providing you and your family with a daily dose combination of vitamins L (LOVE) and vitamin H (HOME).

    When you buy already prepared foods or eat out in restaurant you often automatically spend more money and you don’t know exactly what you’re eating. By preparing your foods at home you will know exactly what you are consuming. Joining my program is a very healthy and cost effective decision.


    Will I have to think about food all the time?

    No.
    We won’t be counting calories or points. We’ll focus on maximizing nutrients in meals so you’re satisfied for a longer period of time. You won’t “have” to think about food at all.


    Can I just figure this out on my own?

    It has been my experience that women trying to do this on their own fall back a great deal. Part of what I do is to guide and support, but most of all to hold you accountable to reach your health goals.


    How quickly can I expect results?

    That obviously depends on your specific situation and the effort you put into following the specific recommendations given to you. That said many clients usually start to see changes after just one or two sessions. Changes may include more energy, healthier digestion, vitality and changes in home environment.

    How long are your programs?

    I offer three different programs in six-month increments. Why? I’ve tested various program lengths and my experience is that it usually takes six months to incorporate permanent and lasting changes. I don’t want my clients investing their time and money in a program that won’t yield lasting changes. At the end of the six months, my clients are amazed by the number of changes they’ve made and the overall impact of the program. Having a program of this length allows us to ensure that changes you make in month one, two, or three are still being implemented in month six and beyond. In this way, we also have time to make changes that work best for you. When you think about it, what is six months compared to a lifetime of being healthy and seeing your family thrive?

    Do women continue past the six months?

    Yes, many love the on-going support. Most people find that they’ve achieved their original goals by the end of the six months, but often clients want to go to the next level. I am always glad to continue working with you.

    How can I guarantee myself that I will reach my health goals?

    Do your homework and follow the recommendations. Yes, I do give homework, but it doesn’t involve paperwork. It consists of practical steps for you to take to keep you moving forward. Be totally committed and focused on this Program for ONE year. Even though our coaching Program is usually six months, keep your sights set on doing the recommendations consistently for ONE year. You’ll be set for life!

    Understand that this program is not a "quick fix," it's not magic, and your current health condition didn’t develop overnight. So don't expect overnight results, but do expect rapid results when you follow the system as given to you step-by-step. You’ll get faster and longer lasting results than you ever would have on your own. Just imagine how it will feel to achieve your personal level of optimal health.

    How will we work together and what do the programs entail?

    If accepted into the program, we will have one-on-one or group counseling sessions by phone. During the sessions we will talk about your current concerns and goals. That’s where we’ll start. From there, we’ll continue moving forward with the specific steps of The Pure Health System™ to achieve your health goals. We start our counseling calls with whatever is most important to you at the time. I will provide support, guidance, and lifestyle recommendations to help you reach your goals as quickly as possible.

    Do you only work with local clients?

    Most of my counseling is done by phone, so distance is never an issue anywhere in the continental United States. I’ve found that counseling by phone is extremely effective and I’ve developed incredible relationships with clients I’ve never met face-to-face. You’ll achieve results, whether in person or by phone.


    What are your coaching programs like?

    You have four different options to choose from, depending on how quickly you want to see results, how much time you want to speak with me directly, or based on your budget level. Depending on your health concerns and issues, we’ll tailor your coaching sessions around the Pure Health System™, the Pure Mothering System™, or the Pure Fertility Health System™.


    Pure Mothering Total Support Program

    • Two fifty-minute sessions per month
      Twice a month we'll meet in-person or via phone to review your progress, keep you moving forward, give you next-steps to tackle and adjust your plans, if necessary. I'll coach and guide you to take the exact steps you need to achieve your particular goals. We will also address any questions you have or challenges you are encountering. At the end of each session I will give you experiments to complete that are realistic and practical.
    • Unlimited Phone Access

    When you’re stuck on an experiment or an issue, it’s easy to give up or lose momentum. But not when you can have access to me as often as you like to get moving forward, get answers to your questions, or get feedback. I do not offer this in any other program I offer. In my opinion, immediate support is not only priceless; it can make or break certain situations. You can call me anytime for a 15-minute check-in, and I’ll do my best to help you on the spot. These check-ins are a time for you to ask questions and for us to address any challenges you’ve had the previous week or anticipate in the week ahead. These phone calls are designed to keep you motivated and can be used to help you make a plan for the week ahead.

    • Unlimited Access to me via e-mail
      You can email me anytime with a quick question, and I’ll send you answers—usually within one business day, and many times much sooner than that.
    • Healthy Shopping DVD

    Do you get overwhelmed when you walk into a health food store or avoid it completely because you’re not familiar with many of the products? I will send you a DVD which will take you on a health food store tour where you will learn how to keep costs down; how to choose good quality produce, meat and dairy; how to shop quickly; and how to read food labels and pick healthy packaged foods.

    • Healthy Cooking DVD

    You will receive a Healthy Cooking DVD where you will learn new cooking techniques, how to cook with new ingredients, and you will receive easy recipes you can use at home.

    • Nourishment Package

    At the beginning of your program, you will receive a package of over 15 food samples and self-care items that relate to topics or goals we are addressing. The Nourishment Package makes it easy for you to try new foods or products; I give you the items so you can try them immediately without having to go to the store or spend money on something you may or may not like.

    • Recipes and Cooking Tips

    Following each session I will email you quick, easy, and delicious recipes. The recipes will make it easy for you to prepare healthy food at home and save time. If you don’t like following recipes, no worries! I will teach you how to cook foods a variety of ways without a single recipe. Either case will insure that you are completely comfortable cooking new ingredients or using new techniques.

    • Educational Materials

    Following each session I will email you materials that relate to the specific goals we are currently working on. The materials supplement and compliment the discussions during your sessions. They will help you become empowered to make educated decisions. Providing these materials also allows us to move more quickly and pack a lot into your sessions.

    This program was created for clients who have completed a 6-month program but would like additional support so they can stay on track and eliminate all obstacles in achieving their health goals.

    This program will yield phenomenal results in a group setting. This was created for those who want to share with like minded people, and still achieve great results. The focus of this program is on your implementation of the Pure Health step-by-step program with the extra support from other women in the group. Group counseling is wonderful in that it gives you a chance to meet other like minded women in the group, with whom you can collaborate and form new and exciting friendships as well. In the group setting, there will be time set aside for questions and counseling. Additionally, the fee is lower than if you go through an individual program. The typical group size is between 10-20 people. The best part is that we can conduct these group sessions right over the phone!

    What kind of payment do you accept? Do you accept credit cards?

    I don't do the "check's in the mail" thing anymore. I will charge your credit card at once or monthly payments you let me know what works for you. I accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover or having the sum deducted from your bank account. It’s fast and simple.


    OK, I know which program I want. How do we get started?

    Great! Successful people—the ones who consistently reach their goals—take action. Yes, they sometimes make a mistake here or there (we all do). However, they are decisive, take action, and move forward towards achieving their goals. In fact, did you know that these people make decisions based on their gut instinct? So that being said, if this feels right for you, go for it.

    As you know, I’m very selective about the clients I choose to work with. Let me know which program you feel will work best for you in terms of the results you want to get. We’ll then schedule a date and time to start our coaching calls and you'll receive a welcome packet by email. In it, you'll fill out your client information and goals. You'll send this to me at least two days prior to your first session. This way from our very first coaching session, we’ll hit the ground running. Using my step-by-step system we can quickly get you on the path to optimal and long-term health.

    I would recommend that you call and schedule your complimentary “get-acquainted” phone session. This way we can discuss your specific situation and see how I can best help you.
